My recent stay at Historic Streetcar Inn was a mixed experience. while the location was fantastic for exploring the Garden District and getting to the French Quarter, I found the room itself lacking in cleanliness, especially with torn towels and some issues with the air conditioning. The friendly staff did help when I raised concerns, moving me to a better room with nice amenities. Overall, it holds promise due to its character and accessibility, yet it still needs improvements.

Rooms

The room I was first given was quite cramped and lacked thorough cleaning. however, the staff graciously moved me to a more spacious room that I enjoyed. There were minimal facilities and a few maintenance issues, but it had good coffee in the morning.
Service

The staff members were very friendly and eager to help, especially when I needed a room change. but I did experience delays in communication at times.

I loved the location near the Historic Charleston cable car line, making it easy to reach nearby attractions. it provided a good base for my explorations.
Dining

While there were no dining options on-site, the location allowed easy access to nearby eateries. I wished for better breakfast options.

The facilities seemed a bit outdated and in need of maintenance. I encountered issues with room locks and lacked proper bedside outlets, impacting comfort.

My stay at the Historic Streetcar Inn was a mixed bag. The location is perfect, right on St. Charles and just a trolley ride from the French Quarter, but the overall cleanliness was a huge letdown. While the charm of the historic building is undeniable, I ran into issues like dirty linens and a lack of proper housekeeping. It could be a fantastic gem with better management.

I appreciated the cute decor and had access to a mini fridge and microwave, but there were definitely cleanliness issues that needed addressing.
Service

The staff was friendly, but my experience with one employee was disappointing when I raised concerns about my room's cleanliness.

I wish there were breakfast options, as just having coffee available was a bit lacking for my taste.

The communal balcony and courtyard were nice touches, but the plumbing issues and poor housekeeping really put a damper on my stay.

My stay at the Historic Streetcar Inn had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic for accessing the streetcar and exploring New Orleans, and the staff member at check-in was friendly. However, I encountered some issues with communication regarding check-in times and a lack of amenities. Overall, it was an affordable option, but I didn't feel fully taken care of during my visit.

Rooms
6.0
The room was decent but quite small and lacked windows, which made it feel a bit claustrophobic. I did appreciate the cleanliness of the space, though it would have been nice to have more room to move around comfortably.
Service
5.0
I didn't feel very welcomed by the staff, as the receptionist seemed preoccupied and unfriendly. While I had a positive interaction with one staff member, overall there seemed to be a lack of attentiveness.
Location
8.0
The Inn's location was definitely a highlight. It was in a great area with convenient access to the streetcar and plenty of dining options nearby. This made it easy to explore the city and enjoy local restaurants.
Dining
5.0
While there were communal coffee and tea options, they were not well-stocked—most notably, there were no tea bags available at the time. I expected better considering the location's charm.
Facilities
5.0
The housecleaning service left much to be desired, as I only saw staff during check-out. Also, the broken refrigerator in my room was a disappointment, and I don't understand why there was a cleaning fee when service was minimal.

I had a mixed experience at the Historic Streetcar Inn. The location was fantastic, with easy access to the French Quarter and tons of nearby dining options. However, the accommodations left a lot to be desired, with issues like torn towels and stained sheets. And while the staff I encountered was friendly, the lack of regular housekeeping was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
My room had a unique character with a cozy setup, but it wasn't as clean as I hoped. I found some hair in the shower and noticed the sheets had stains. Room size was decent, yet it felt quite cramped with no seating apart from the bed.
Service
6.0
The check-in experience was pleasant, as the lady at the front desk was really accommodating. However, I didn’t see much of the staff afterward, which made it hard to get any assistance during my stay.
Location

Being on St. Charles Street, I loved how close I was to great attractions and restaurants. The streetcar stop right outside made getting around super convenient, so that was definitely a highlight.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the variety of food options nearby. There were some great 24/7 spots to grab meals, and the local cuisine was fantastic for trying iconic sandwiches.
Facilities
5.0
There were quite a few facilities listed, but the absence of daily housekeeping was surprising. The fridge in my room was broken, and I had to figure out the towels situation on my own, which felt unprofessional.

I had a mixed experience at Historic Streetcar Inn. The location was great with easy access to the streetcar and nearby restaurants, but the service left something to be desired and there were some maintenance issues. My room was clean and well-kept, yet it could use more soundproofing. Overall, it's a budget-friendly option, but not without its flaws.

Rooms

My room was nice and clean, which I appreciated. It was small but had everything I needed.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly, but I encountered some issues with the front desk not being occupied at all times, which was inconvenient. I had to rely on a phone for assistance.
Location

I loved the location right at the edge of the Garden District, with the streetcar stopping right outside. It was only a short ride to Canal St and the French Quarter.
Dining
6.0
I wish there was breakfast available, even just coffee and some pastries. There are good dining options within walking distance, though.
Facilities
7.0
The communal areas were nice and there was access to tea and coffee at all times, which I liked. However, the floors in my room needed a good clean.
